We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the position of IT Project Manager at Hoveringham.

The Role

During 2022, the Flooring department of the Bison business is undertaking a major IT transformation project to modernize its systems & applications used across its business.

The successful candidate will be the main contact point for all project participants ensuring the project is running on time, budget and scope.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of meetings and workshops including the creation of agenda’s
  • Main contact for all project participants including third-party consultants
  • Managing resource calendars for team availability
  • Measuring and reporting on the project’s performance
  • Tracking project finances including the raising and receipting of purchase orders & any future costs
  • Conducting risk analyses
  • Creating and updating of workflows
  • Preparing and providing documentation to key stakeholders and internal teams such as process maps, specifications, user stories and change requests
  • Taking meeting notes, publishing & chasing of any actions
  • Managing project Risk, Actions, Issues & Dependencies (RAID logs)
  • Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
  • Proactively carries out project support functions when needed.

The Candidate

  • Highly computer literate with the ability to translate business requirements into deliverables.
  • Has a strong belief in customer satisfaction.
  • Experience of working with third party vendors and managing relationships both internally & externally.
  • A self-directed person with the ability to think laterally and literally.
  • Ability to work well within a team, whilst being able to resolve conflict.
  • Ability to travel between sites when needed.

The role holder is expected:

  • to ensure that all the business/operations are performed in accordance with instructions and procedures and in such a way so as to prevent any fraudulent activities taking place
  • to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation
  • to update all areas of knowledge as required to carry out the job with maximum effectiveness and to attend training/development courses as and when required
  • to comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company

Education & Qualification


  • Experience of working on complex projects in a support capacity
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills


  • Experience in using Smartsheet
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools (i.e. LucidChart / LucidSmart)
  • Experience of projects in Manufacturing industries
